Salvinia minima can be described as a free-floating aquatic fern with a horizontal stem or rhizome that floats at or just below the water surface.
These plants are great at removing nitrates as they pull their nutrients directly from the water column.
They also provide hiding spots as well as shade for shy aquarium dwellers.
